We generally recommend 2-4 hypnosis sessions for any given issue. If you have a lot of stress and anxiety, or an entrenched, long lasting issue then please expect 4 sessions. Additionally, although rare, some people with chronic conditions can benefit from ongoing sessions that are spaced out over longer periods of time. 

What is Hypnosis?

Recognized by the American Medical Association since 1958 and taught in many medical schools including Harvard University, hypnosis is used to help patients overcome nicotine cravings, relieve stress and anxiety, and increase general feelings of well-being.  In fact, hypnosis can be traced all the way back to ancient cultures and has been used in modern culture for over 200 years. It is estimated that approximately 85% of people will readily respond to clinical hypnotherapy. It may even succeed where other, more conventional methods of treatment have not produced the desired results. If you have average or above intelligence and the willingness to follow directions you can be hypnotized. All hypnosis is self- hypnosis, in other words, you are in control. You allow yourself to be hypnotized by following the hypnotist's instructions. 

Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state of mind where the critical factor (which facilitates communication between the conscious and the subconscious mind) is relaxed and selective thinking is maintained. Once you have opened communication with your subconscious, you can discover any limiting ideas, or beliefs, that may be holding you back. With hypnosis, we help you change self-limiting thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. If you've ever been driving down the highway so focused on the argument you had with your boss and completely missed your exit, you were in a form of hypnosis!
